Ask anonymous questions on TheyAnswer… It’s surprising fun!

leave a comment »

“What do you want for your birthday?”, “Santa asks, what do you want for Christmas?”, or “Are you an eligible bachelor?” are some examples of fun questions you might want to ask your friends anonymously so that they don’t know who’s asking.

Now, you can ask questions anonymously when you’re not signed in. When you’re not signed in, you are anonymous. As an anonymous user, type your question in the box on the home page, and the question will be sent to up to 10 people who are most likely to answer. However, anonymous questions are sent only to users who have selected “Allow anonymous” in their profile settings.

To determine if a user is allowing anonymous questions, go to their profile page without signing in, and look for the “Ask anonymously” button below their photo. Click the “Ask anonymously” button to send a direct question anonymouslyto that user, and then type your question in the box on the following page.

TheyAnswer is the easiest way for businesses to connect with customers by sharing questions, answers, reviews, and recommendations online. With a Premium Account, your business can connect with customers in new ways to drive sales and lower costs. Here are 10 ways that businesses are using TheyAnswer to do just that:

  1. Target new customers with product recommendations whenever they ask related questions on TheyAnswer. Related questions are automatically routed to you.
  2. Increase brand awareness by customizing your profile page with your company’s logo, wallpaper, website address, and vanity URL.
  3. Build a contact list of influential customers, and increase sales through the power of social networking.
  4. Leverage search engines – such as Google, Yahoo, MSN – that index your questions and answers, so you gain extra exposure without extra effort.
  5. Capture the voice of your customer more easily by asking them direct questions and using their feedback to enhance existing products or position new ones.
  6. Promote your products by sharing your questions and answers on other popular social media sites – such as Facebook, Digg, Twitter. Customers can share your questions and answers too.
  7. Save on customer support costs by reducing call volume when customers use TheyAnswer to ask questions online. One-to-many communications are more cost-effective than one-to-one.
  8. Eliminate complicated contact forms on your website, and just add a TheyAnswer link or button for one-click access. Besides, customers hate filling out contact forms.
  9. Track frequently asked questions, and allow your customer service reps to save time by sharing links to common answers.
  10. Access customers’ questions easily on one page instead of sorting through multiple emails, or have questions forwarded to separate email addresses that are monitored by different departments.

TheyAnswer Social Network Launches for Questions and Answers

You Ask…Your Friends, Family, and Trusted Contacts Answer

ATLANTA, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ –Social media incubator 3 Guys in a Garage has launched TheyAnswer (http://www.theyanswer.com), a social networking tool for sharing questions and answers. The service enables users to ask and answer questions via their social networks of contacts, and TheyAnswer determines which contacts are most likely to answer each question.

Unlike many Q&A and review sites where users cannot differentiate between marketers’ responses and consumers’ responses, TheyAnswer was built on the premise that people get more genuine answers and prefer reviews from sources they know. “Getting targeted answers and recommendations from people you know means you don’t have to waste time sorting through ads,” said Surabhi Jani, co-founder. “You trust your contacts more than you trust marketers, and your contacts give you better answers because they know you better.”

Each user creates a profile by completing a simple form and either adding existing contacts from their email address book or inviting new contacts via email. When asking a question, the user has three options: Send a direct question to one contact in their network, send a question to multiple contacts selected automatically by TheyAnswer, or refine the question by selecting from popular categories. Contacts may respond on the site or via email to the user.

“We created a very simple design that’s easy to use like Google, and our name is self-explanatory,” explains Colin McNab, co-founder. “However, behind-the-scenes, TheyAnswer uses over 100 criteria to target questions to the right people and learn over time.”

Website and blog owners can add a button to let visitors ask them questions on TheyAnswer, and anyone can share profiles and content with other social networking sites.

About TheyAnswer

TheyAnswer.com is the easiest way to share questions and answers with contacts online. Using an adaptive algorithm developed by a Yale and MIT graduate, TheyAnswer sends your question to those contacts with the highest probability of answering. No scrolling address books, lengthy contact forms, or annoying BCC emails. Send a question to multiple contacts with one click, and receive questions and answers on one page for easy access and sharing. TheyAnswer was created by Atlanta-based 3 Guys in a Garage. Introducing TheyAnswer.com … it’s like Q&A magic

leave a comment »

TheyAnswer is a messaging platform for sharing questions, answers, reviews, and recommendations with people you know or want to know.

Did you know that many of the answers, reviews and recommendations that you read on the Internet were posted by paid marketers? How do you know which ones you can trust? How do you know if bloggers are paid to advocate an opinion or if they are authentic? That’s why most of us prefer to get answers, opinions, recommendations, and reviews from those we know and trust… our contacts.

TheyAnswer is the easiest way to share questions and answers with your social network, or you can ask questions anonymously. Using an adaptive algorithm developed by a Yale and MIT graduate, TheyAnswer calculates the probability that your contacts will be able to answer your question and sends your question to those contacts with the highest probability. No more scrolling through address books, no more lengthy contact forms, and no more annoying BCC emails to everyone. Send a targeted question to multiple contacts with one click, and receive questions and answers on one page for easy access and sharing.

TheyAnswer

Use TheyAnswer for:

  • Product reviews and recommendations
  • Restaurant reviews and venue recommendations
  • Book, movie, and other entertainment reviews
  • Gift and shopping ideas – “what is a good Christmas gift for my husband?”
  • Recipes and cooking tips
  • Career advice and job recommendations
  • Recommending service providers – housecleaning, salons, electricians, etc.
  • Announcing things for sale – like the treadmill sitting in your garage
  • Instant messaging to friends and family
  • Customer service and FAQs (add TheyAnswer to your website or blog)
  • Connecting students with teachers or professors at schools and colleges
  • A quick, fun alternative to traditional email

It’s free, and it’s simple: You ask. They answer.
